Whats up, my name is Andre and I am a 26yr old graduate of North Carolina State University;I hate long walks on the beach because sand gets all between your toes and in your shoes. I was born in Atlanta and grew up in Virginia and North Carolina.  In my spare time (which I soon won't have much of) I enjoy hanging out with friends, liffting weights or riding my motorcycle on roads like the pic above.  My favorite color is orange and my favorite animal is the tiger (which happens to be the name of my squadron...good sign I hope). I'm a big football fan with my favorite college team being NCSU (of course) and my favorite pro team being the Pittsburgh Steelers (my Uncle lives in PA). When I was 8yrs old my parents took me to an air show where I saw the world famous USAF Thunderbirds.  Ever since they scared the crap out of me with the sneek pass, I've wanted to fly a fighter jet.

I've been in the Air Force for about 3 1/2yrs now and before coming to UPT I was a services officer. My first base was Nellis AFB out by Las Vegas...lets just say that Vegas is a nice place to visit. At different times I was the Officer in Charge of readiness, the fitness center, and the base honor guard. For the last year and a half I worked in protocol where I was able to meet all kinds of people from the Air Force Chief of Staff, to Congressmen, to the First Lady, to the Prince of Saudia Arabia. After being in the Air Force less than a year I deployed to Al Udeid AB in Doha, Qatar where I was in charge of a $2million budget and responsible for moving the base population to a new location.

Although I've taken somewhat of the long road to get to pilot training I wouldn't trade it for anything.  I have met people, seen places, and done more things in 3yrs than most people twice my age and I think these experiences and added maturity will help me in my quest to complete pilot training.  Well enough about me go look at the stuff about jets.
